Dear Grand Elect Masons and Friends:

From the Officers of Philadelphia Lodge of Perfection, 14º, I bring you fraternal greetings. As we begin another Scottish Rite year in the Valley of Philadelphia, I hope that everyone had an excellent summer break and you are ready to resume your labors for the Valley.

It is with great pleasure that I serve as Thrice Potent Master of Philadelphia Lodge of Perfection and will do my best to uphold the fine example that the Officers who have preceded me have done.

The 2008 Fall Class has been named in honor of Ill. Raymond R. Barker, 33º, MSA. Illustrious Bro. Barker has labored hard over the years and we want to show our appreciation for his efforts.

I am proud to announce that this year you will see one of the most talented and dedicated team of Officers for the Lodge of Perfection, that has been seen for a long time. I must tell you, that it will be your loss if you do not take the time to be with us for the start of a new Scottish Rite year. This is the first time that the Class Members will be introduced to our Valley and we want to give them a night to remember and to welcome them to our Valley with a large group on the sidelines.

We want to add our congratulations to two Members of the Valley who have been elected to receive the 33º in 2009, Bros. Robert J. Bateman, 32º, and Thomas Hopkins, 32º. Bro. Hopkins is a talented Member of the 14º as is Bro. Bateman in the 18º.

I look forward to greeting each of you and your ladies at the start of our 2008 Fall Reunion.
